Andrew Thompson is a Partner in Minter Ellison’s Perth office and leads the Perth Energy and Resources team. He has over 35 years business and commercial legal experience working for and advising leading Australian and international companies, and is recognised as a leading lawyer in the Asia Pacific region in energy and resources. Notable Australian oil and gas projects he has acted on include the North West Shelf, Geographe in the Otway Basin, Gorgon LNG Project and Reindeer/Devil Creek. For over 20 years Andrew has been involved with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including President of the CCIWA in 1986-88 and 2002-04 and Councillor of the Australian CCI.

David Gray is Managing Director of David Gray & Co Pty Ltd, a manufacturer and distributor of horticulture and agriculture products in Western Australia. David is also Governing Director of Scandinavian Investments Pty Ltd. Previously David was Chairman of the Australian Made Campaign Limited, Chairman of Chemcert and member of a number of government policy groups. David is a Member of the Order of Australia and has served as President of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry in both Western Australia and Canberra, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. David has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.

Eva Skira has a background in banking and capital markets, having previously worked as a stockbroker and held various positions with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Eva was Chair of Westscheme during its merger with AustralianSuper on 30 June 2011.
Eva is currently Deputy Chancellor of Murdoch University, Deputy Chair of St John of God Health Care Group and a Director of MDA National Insurance, RCR Tomlinson, Doric Construction Group Holdings and Australian Institute of Management (WA). Eva is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Eva has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Frank Sciarrone has over 28 years extensive experience within the Australian financial services industry. He has held senior management positions with Australian and multi-national organisations in both the private client and funds management industries. Frank is currently the Managing Director of a boutique financial advisory firm and serves on the board of several corporate superannuation funds. Frank has a Bachelor of Business (Economics and Finance).

Reg Howard-Smith is Chief Executive of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME). Prior to becoming Chief Executive in 2007, Reg was the Director of CME with responsibilities across Human Resources, OH&S, education & training, immigration, skills shortage initiatives and finance. Reg previously worked for Woodside, George Weston Foods and BHP. He has a degree from the University of Western Australia majoring in economics.

Simone McGurk is a Member Director nominated by the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU). She is currently the Secretary of UnionsWA and has a long history of member advocacy through her 20 years in the union movement. Her prior experience includes roles as Assistant Secretary at the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union and as an organiser and media officer at United Voice. As well as her trade union work, Simone has media experience in broadcasting. Simone was elected as Assistant Secretary at UnionsWA in 2007 and Secretary in August 2009. Simone was a Trustee Director on Westscheme superannuation fund and is currently a member of the ACTU Executive, and is a member of the WA State Training Board. Simone has a degree in History and Politics and a degree in Media.

Stephen Price is the Secretary of the WA Branch of the Australian Worker’s Union (AWU). Stephen has extensive experience working in the mining and aluminium industries, including in a number of gold mining operations and as a refinery worker. Since joining the AWU in 2007 Stephen has overseen significant membership growth. He is currently a committee member of the State Government Mining Industry Advisory Committee, WA Labor Party State Executive, Unions WA State Executive, the AWU National Executive and is also the Treasurer of the WA Labor Party and Secretary of the Forest Products, Furnishing and Allied Industries Union. Stephen has a degree in Applied Science.

Steve McCartney is Secretary of the WA Branch of the Australian Manufacturing Union (AMWU). Before joining AMWU as a union official in 2001 Steve spent many years as a heavy plant fitter and also worked in the stevedoring industry. He is a current Vice-President of UnionsWA, a Board member of the Building and Construction Industry Training Fund, the Motor Industry Training Association and the Construction Industry Long Service Leave Payments Board. Steve is also a committee member of Apprenticeships Training Australia (ATA), the Construction Industry Safety Advisory Committee and the WA Engineering & Automotive Training Council Inc.
