Welcome to the Westscheme Tax File Number (TFN) website.
Before proceeding, you should know that we are authorised to collect your TFN under the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act 1993.
It is up to you to decide whether or not to give us your TFN. Declining to quote your TFN is not an offence.
However, if you decide not to provide your TFN, by law, super paid to you may be subject to a higher rate of tax. Also, you will not be able to make any personal contributions.
If you do provide your TFN it will be kept confidential and only used for lawful purposes, which include giving it to another superannuation fund if your benefits are transferred unless you ask us not to. Your TFN can also be used to help keep track of your benefits especially if you have benefits in more than one fund. These purposes may change in the future.
