In recent times the South West region of WA has enjoyed a booming economy driven by industry expansions, tourism appeal and rising global demand for quality South West food, wine, timber and minerals.
To support the increasing number of Westscheme members and employers living and working in the South West, Westscheme opened a Bunbury office on 2 January 2008.
Westscheme’s Client Service Manager, Karen Metcalf, has taken on responsibility for this growing market.
‘I’ll be visiting workplaces, helping employers keep up-to-date with changes in superannuation in general and Westscheme in particular. And, if employers wish, I can facilitate workplace meetings to help employees understand about superannuation. These meetings can cover issues such as salary sacrificing into super, the government co-contribution, finding lost super, insurance cover and much more,’ says Karen.
